[This is a terrific read -almost
like a novel as the author makes Columbus come alive as a person -a man -and
once you start reading this book -you will not be able to put it down!. The
book is available through 1stBooks.com or Amazon.com and just for the record,
I have no financial gain - although the author is a dear friend -Rufina]

Well known, Uruguayan Goan Industrialist and writer Alfredo de Mello clearly disputes that Christopher Columbus was Italian in origin or that he truly intended to travel to India to look for spices. Isn't it possible that Portugal through its agent Salvador Fernandes Zarco(a Portuguese Jew) AKA Cristobal Colon AKA Christopher Columbus, intentionally led the Spaniards West instead of East ? Interesting isn't it? |

The Portuguese had already rounded
the Cape of Good Hope, before "Columbus" had taken off to India via the Western
route. The Route from the east coast of Africa to India was well known to sea-farers
in that region. And yet, "Columbus" took off in the opposite direction!
There is one other point of interest: There are no Italian names for any of
the Islands in the Caribbean, but there are Portuguese names.
