Dear prima Rufina,
Can you believe, today I read about your life in the item What's in a name?
You look like a heroine. We are pride of you.
It is strange to think you as a Orthodox Jew because in our mind orthodox looks like image
of a very severe person and this I suppose, for your letter, youre not. We feel you
like a flexible person. But, there are orthodoxes and orthodoxes.
Carlos has a very interesting experience visiting Israel in1993. He has a casual meeting
in the Renaissance Hotel Jerusalem, with a Rabi born in Copacabana County in Rio de
Janeiro. It was nice to spoke in Portuguese with a very simpatico Rabi using black
clothes. His father was a Rabi too. He has a long and white beard, eyes deep blues. His
figure had a graceful dignity. He comes from Russia and like his son lived for a long time
in Rio de Janeiro. He used those very beautiful dressers (black long coat and dark ovoid
blue ornament and round black pelt around his black hat). When the young Rabi presents his
father he shaking hands and looking at Carlos he said " The Eternal blessing you my
son". Carlos feels a very strong squeeze in his heart and said "thank you
Rabi" and prosecutes to talk with his glad son. The old man hears silently the
dialogue between the two. Five minutes after he looks Carlos and said again meaningfully
"The Eternal blessing you son". So Carlos with a strong emotion said to his son:
Can I embrace your father Rabi? He said sympathetic: certainly! The old Rabi and Carlos
gave a long embrace and the Rabi said again to him: "The Eternal blessing you my
son". Carlos feels like a little boy embracing a very significant person like a big
father. I that moment he feel the importace of a man like that. He understands why the
people in wilderness depending from persons like Moses. He think "Oh my G-d because I
love the Jewish people you persuaded this priest to embrace me".
Thats why, our sister and prima Rufina, you are a heroine too. Everything you passed
has a G-d purpose. The pain and anguish from yesterday reverted today in consolation for
those who passed for the some way you passed. Perhaps like the old Rabi your existence has
a deep meaning for those in several parts of World passing the same situation you passed.
Do you think in it?
Well we took for us the words of those Rabi's and we said to you:
The Eternal blessed all the time you - Rufina.
Baruch HaShem and Shalom.
Carlos and Surea.
